Which Guardian are you today?

Most people pick their Guardian in about four seconds, which is roughly how long it takes to recognise yourself in something. Grumble goes to whoever has already had enough of this week. Doze goes to the one who keeps saying five more minutes. Reach belongs to the person who opens everyone else’s parcels.

The interesting part is the second choice. Once people have found their own Guardian, they almost always find one for somebody else — a Puff for a friend having a difficult week, a Spike for a first day, a Nest for someone who keeps every ticket stub. That is the whole idea, really. Nine small ways of saying something without needing a long message.
