Nobody knows exactly where Reach came from, because Reach has never stayed anywhere long enough to explain it. A cupboard opens? Reach needs to see inside. A parcel arrives? Reach is already investigating.
Something interesting happening three desks away is enough to send those long arms reaching towards it. Reach believes the world is full of things worth discovering and cannot understand why anyone would walk past something without wondering what it is.
Occasionally this causes trouble. Mostly it causes adventures. Reach reminds people that curiosity does not disappear when you grow up.
